1Acceptance of terms
expand_more
By accessing or using Splora, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the app. These terms constitute a legal agreement between you and DartWeaver (operated by Ian Inch, South Africa). We may update these terms at any time and continued use constitutes acceptance of changes.
2User accounts
expand_more
You must be at least 13 years old to use Splora. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password. Your email address is used to sign you in and to verify your account and to reset your password. You must provide accurate information and keep your profile updated. One person may not maintain multiple accounts. We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these terms.
3User content
expand_more
You retain ownership of content you create (events and profile information). By posting content, you grant DartWeaver a licence to display it within the app. You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of your content. Content must not contain offensive language, hate speech or violate others' rights. We employ content moderation but are not liable for user generated content. You can delete your events at any time. After account deletion, your events are deleted with your account.
4Prohibited activities
expand_more
You may not: (a) use offensive, discriminatory or hateful language in usernames, event titles or descriptions, (b) harass, threaten, or impersonate other users, (c) create events for illegal activities, (d) spam or artificially manipulate the platform, (e) attempt to access others' accounts or data, (f) reverse engineer or compromise the app's security, (g) use automated systems without permission. Violations may result in immediate account termination and legal action if necessary.
5Content moderation and reporting
expand_more
Users may report events that contain inappropriate content including offensive titles, descriptions, locations or creator names. When you report an event, you will automatically be removed from that event and will no longer see it in your feed. Reports are submitted to DartWeaver for review. You may only report each event once. False or abusive reporting may result in account suspension. DartWeaver reviews reports but is not obligated to take action on every report. We reserve the right to remove content, suspend accounts or take other action at our sole discretion. Event creators will not be notified of who reported their events. DartWeaver is not liable for any content that remains on the platform pending review.
6Intellectual property
expand_more
Splora, its design, features and underlying code are owned by DartWeaver and protected by South African and international copyright laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the app without written permission. The Splora name, logo, and branding are trademarks of DartWeaver. User generated content remains the property of respective users.
7Subscriptions and billing
expand_more
Splora Business is an optional monthly subscription that gives your business a featured listing in Discover. Inside the app it is sold through the App Store on iOS and through Google Play on Android. Payment is charged to your App Store or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase. The subscription renews automatically each month at the same price until you switch renewal off. You can switch renewal off at any time in your store account settings, and it must be done at least 24 hours before the current period ends to avoid the next charge. Your account is charged within the 24 hours before each renewal. The price shown in the app is the price your store reports for your region and it includes any tax your store collects. There is no annual plan. Subscribing starts a design process and does not publish a listing straight away. After you subscribe you submit your business details so that a listing design can be prepared from what you provide. We may come back to you with questions or with a draft for your approval. This usually takes a few days and the timing depends on how quickly we hear back from you. Your featured listing goes live once the design is agreed. Billing begins when you confirm the purchase rather than when the listing goes live. Cancelling stops future renewals and does not refund the current period. Your listing stays featured until the period you have paid for ends. Refunds for a purchase made inside the app are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies, so a refund request goes to the store rather than to us. Deleting your Splora account does not cancel your store subscription. Cancel it in your store account settings first, otherwise your store will keep charging you.
8Termination
expand_more
You may delete your account at any time from Settings under Data & Privacy or on the web at dartweaver.co.za/delete-account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in prohibited activities or pose security risks. Upon termination, your access ends immediately. Your personal data will be deleted as per our Privacy Policy. Events you created are deleted with your account. Deleting your account does not cancel a store subscription.
9Limitation of liability
expand_more
Splora is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. DartWeaver is not liable for: (a) user generated content or interactions between users, (b) events created by other users, (c) technical issues, data loss or service interruptions, (d) damages arising from app use or inability to use, (e) third party actions or content. Our total liability shall not exceed R100 (One Hundred South African Rand). This limitation applies to the fullest extent permitted by South African law.
10Changes to terms
expand_more
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Material changes will be notified through the app or via email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. These terms are governed by South African law. Any disputes shall be resolved in South African courts. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
