You can delete your Splora account and the personal data that goes with it at any time, either inside the app or right here on this page. Deletion is immediate and permanent.
Delete inside the app
The quickest route if you still have Splora installed.

Open Splora and go to Settings
Open the drawer from the top left of the home screen and tap Settings.

Tap Data & Privacy
Then tap Delete Account at the bottom of that screen.

Confirm with your sign in
You will be asked to sign in again to prove it is you. Confirm and the account is deleted straight away.
Delete on this page
For accounts that sign in with an email address and password. Sign in below to prove the account is yours, then confirm. If you signed up with Google or Apple, delete from inside the app or email us using the address further down.

This cannot be undone. Your profile, events, follows and invitations will be permanently removed. If you have a Splora Business subscription through the App Store or Google Play, cancel it in your store settings first, because deleting your account does not cancel it.

What is deleted and what is kept
Deletion runs the moment you confirm. There is no waiting period and no recovery.

Your sign in account, email address and password
Your profile: name, surname, username, avatar colour and bio
Your interests and your location, if you shared it
Everyone you follow, your followers and all invitations
Every event you created and your place on other people's events
Your push notification device tokens
shield Kept, with you removed from it
Reports you made and feedback you sent are kept for moderation and product records. They sit under a random identifier that cannot be traced back to you and your name is removed
Crash and usage reports. Deleting inside the app also deletes the reports linked to your account through Google's deletion service. A deletion on this page cannot reach them, so they expire under Google's retention period.
A business listing request you submitted is kept as a commercial record with your name removed. The business contact details on it remain
Store transaction records for a Splora Business subscription are kept as financial records without your account identifier
Server logs that may mention your account identifier rotate on a rolling basis and are not kept long term
Encrypted backups that still hold your information are overwritten within 30 days and are never restored except to recover from a failure
Cannot sign in, or signed up with Google or Apple and no longer have the app? Email splora@dartweaver.co.za from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. We will confirm your identity, complete the deletion within 30 days and send you a confirmation.
